Wire Wrapping

![]()
Wire Wrapping exhibits the creativity, energy and imagination of artist Bill Kinney using a functional canvas - household glassware and utensils. A long-time believer in the value of art in everyday lives, Bill uses his strong design background and his scientific/engineering education to produce what he calls "working art". The result is a full line of uplifting, mind-expanding objects that can be enjoyed every day with your family and friends. Whether one chooses to feature a piece on a buffet table or set a table using a complete collection, a day with a piece of Bill's work in it is destined to be a happy one.
Bill uses pure aluminum wire and glass cabachons to create his unique look. All pieces are created entirely by the artist and each is one-of-a-kind. The pictures on this web site are samples of what one can expect to receive; however, colors and design shapes will vary from piece to piece. Special orders for specific colors are gladly accepted; however, please realize that the turnaround time for special orders will be 3-4 weeks.
In the case of glasses, utensils, etc., the work has been dishwasher-tested. However, because of the vagaries of equipment and loading methods we will not guarantee any work washed in a dishwasher.
Important note: Bill's work has, on occasion, been mistaken for the work of other artists. While the methodology of his work is not exclusive to him, (the wrapping of wire around pottery dates back to the era of Cleopatra and Caesar), Bill's designs, work methods and sources are all proprietary. Any resemblance to another artists' work is purely circumstantial.
The wire wrapping is available exclusively from the artist at a variety of art shows listed on the home page and at his Collage Studio & Gallery, 12 South 2nd Street, Fernandina Beach, FL., 904.261.3240 or through this website.
